Complaint Review: MWI Connections

I just discovered that MWI has been charging my Visa account for an "entertainment package" at $12.95/month since April 2002. I did not authorize any charge. I called MWI and Sharon (MWI ID# TP628) explained that I had authorized the discount program when I purchased something off the TV. (She could not tell me what I purchased.)

I told her that I did not authorize anything and further more had not received any type information about the program. She stated that I had received it and probably thought it was junk mail and discarded it. I told her that I always open my mail before discarding. I told her to stop charging my account immediately and I wanted to hear the recording of my authorization. She explained that she did not have the authority to stop the charges.

They could not accept this type request via phone. (Interesting, they supposedly charged my account from a phone request.) She told me to write a letter to MWI Connections, 9500 West Dodge Road, Omaha, NE 68114. In case you need it, my membership # is 159571481. Let me know if you know if Tennessee plans to act on this.
