Complaint Review: MWI Connections

This company attempted to take $139.95 out of my debit account. I still do not know how they got my card info. My card was declined when i tried using it, when i checked with my issuer the told me that this company MWI Connections had tried to debit the $139.95 4 different times. They were on the 5th, 7th, 11th and on the 12th my issuer agreed to hold the money in my account frozen untill the balance of $139.95 was deposited. When i called this company i spoke with a guy using the name Mohamid with an id# 16306.

When i asked why they were trying to take this money out of my account he said it was becouse i had signed up for resturant discounts the money was for the one year subsciption, he said that i had signed up in Nov. 2002 when i asked for a specific day he could not provide that. He also denied that they had attempted a withdrawal since according to him my aacount was not set for a payment untill October of 2003.

I informed him was my issuer had told me about the attemps of withdrawal. His responce was do you want me cancell your account? Hell yes. I contacted my issuer and they needed a fax from MWI about the account being closed, tried to call but since account was cancelled could not speak to anyone. Their phone system is set up to allow only active account members through to anyone, it does give you the option to reactive your account to continue. My issuer has frozen the funds in my account 10 day's. I quess i will just have to wait till then.
