I received an overdraft notice from my bank in early November for $110.00, and knowing that this couldn't be correct as I had not accessed that account for over one month.

I had recently gotten married and was using my joint account with my husband for all my financial needs, and just had not gotten to closing the account down.

I called my bank to learn that a company named MWI Essentials had taken the money out. I had never heard of them, had no idea what their product was, and didn't know how they received my credit information. I called the number the bank gave me to call the company.

I asked the person from MWI what their company was and what they sold. He told my they sold memberships for discount products like haircuts, groceries, and car rentals.

I told him I never heard of MWI nor had purchased any product of theirs. He asked if I ever bought anything from the TV and I said "never". He said well it's showing you bought it on October 31, 2002.

I said that's impossible because I was on my honeymoon. I told him I wanted my money back, as I had never purchased anything. I also explained to him that because of their company, my bank charged me $40 for an overdraft to my account.

He said "Haven't you recieved information about your membershp from us?'' I said "No, because I never bought anything from your company" He then said "Oh well, let me just send that to you" and was trying to say goodbye and I interrupted and said "No, I want to speak to your manager" to which he replied "Well, I can answer all your questions" to which I said "well obviously you aren't because I'm telling you I want my money back."

Long story made short, he began talking very fast and told me my money would be back in my account in 2-5 days and quickly hung up the phone.

I then called my husband to tell him something was up and he looked up MWI and told me there were complaints plastered all over the internet about this company.

I feel totally taken advantage of, MWI has made me feel stupid, and now I have to waste my time and try to straighten things out with my bank.

MWI is a fraudulent company who needs to put out of business so this doesn't happen to another unknowing consumer.
