Opened my online banking to see this charge-did not order anything from this company. I ordered something thru Cosmetique yesterday. Figure this is the only way they could have gotten my info. The charge was for $139.95. Read some other reports from your other customers and was able to obtain a phone number. Today is Thanksgiving, can't get ahold of my bank to stop charge and I'm sure they will not answer there phone at this Galleria place. Gonna try tho.

I just wanted to clear our name here on your site because I work for Cosmetique and I know that we are a reputable and responsible company who does not rip off our customers.

Many times, instances like this happen because our customers do not take the time to read the terms and conditions of what they are ordering. Our company is a continuity club and when you order our introductory package you are agreeing, per the terms of the offer, to receive future monthly collections and have them billed directly to your credit card.

We have posted our terms on our website, above the section where you choose your color selections for the cosmetics (during your order), on the order confirmation email and also on the email that we send when the order is shipped. We post our terms in four different locations and still our customers do not read them and become angry when they are "suprised" by a charge on their credit card a month after their first order.

This case sounds strange to me because of the amount charged. It should only be $20.90 to $24.90, but many times our customers simply read their credit card or bank statement wrong and blame us for the charge that is listed directly above or below ours. In this case, we would simply ask he or she to fax or mail us a copy of the statement so that we could be sure that was not the case. If the charge was legitimately from us, we would immediately research that and refund the amount if necessary.

I just felt the need to defend my employer because I work hard every day to help our customers with problems and I hope that they realize that no one is perfect and sometimes mistakes are made, but we are always willing to hear our customers complaint and determine if the mistake is our fault. In the instances that it is, we always make an effort to resolve the matter in a timely manner.

Thank you for listening.
