MWI GALLERIA RIP OFF TOOK MONEY FROM MY CHECKING ACCOUNT IN THE AMOUNT OF $149.95 WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION I have not talked to any one at this or any other company or ordered any thing from any infomercial. OMAHA Nebraska
Hi I am from Lakeland Florida. I was checking my bank account through on line banking on June 9, 2003 and noticed a charge for $149.95 from a company called MWI Galleria which I knew nothing about.
I called the 800 number listed on my statement and was told by a gentleman named Wardell that it would be cancelled. I also at I had ordered something from an infomercial and was offered the service for thirty days free and after that I knew that I would be charged for a full membership.
I have not talked to any one at this or any other company or ordered any thing from any infomercial. These people make you think that you are stupid and don't remember anything.
I spent hours on the phone between June 9, 2003 and June 11, 2003 to get this matter taken care of and I still don't have the money back in my account yet.
I was told if I call another number given to me by Wardell I could find ou what i supossedly bought or received in the mail. That was a lie too. I stll don't know anymore today about this than i did yesterday.
If there is anybody out there that may be able to help stop things like this please help.
I think people who are dishonest like this should be put away. My husband is on disability (he is legally blind) and we only have a certain amount to pay our bills with and when things like this happens your electric company, phone company, mortage company, or whoever you may need to pay will sometimes work with you for a few days but they want their money too.

This is nationwide. If your're lucky you noticed in 30 days to get refunded. All I wanted was accountability. Any business you write a check to, then has your account number which can be easily frauded in many forms. Learned the hard way here in Ohio.

I had great success with my bank card issuer when I telephoned them and immediately followed up with a letter and enclosed the RipOff Report index showing the number of complaints filed and then selected four cases to copy.
The charge was immediately charged back to MWI Galleria. Good luck.
