MWI Galleria USA fraudulent credit card charges hit WI consumers too Stamford Connecticut
I regularly am the one to pay the bills, authorize things etc.
On my husbands last credit card bill was a charge for $139.95
plus he was charged an additional $29 for over limit fees because of this charge by an outfit called MWI Galleria USA.
I asked him what the charge was but he was as clueless as I was.
He called the credit card company and told them to remove the charge as he never heard of the place and certainly didn't authorize the charge. Now the credit card company says they removed the charge but need a form filled out about the company and why he's cancelling.
With neither of us even knowing what the company was I got on the net to see if I could find out, when I ran across the hundreds of reports of fraud against this company. Thanks to another persons comments I was able to find
the website for these people. I wanted to add our two cents worth as a note that they've struck WI residents as well.
Be warned that this isn't the only telemarketing company charging illicit charges, my daugther was lured in by another and I had to go to the government area that controlled credit cards and such to have her good credit restored as they were
extremely belligerent and harrassing with as many as 3 phone calls per day demanding money. That particular rip-off came
