Phone solicitation call on 4/16/04.... from Homeworks. I am glad I saw this report....That first write up on the site is exactly what happened to me, except that person was more aware of the details than I was at the time plus I was asleep when it rang, and foggy minded. I am disabled and on low fixed income.....
Sounded like discounts I could use and the lady said I would have only $1 taken from my acct. that month and then IF I wanted to continue would later be debited for $14.95 per month.
Well they took that amount at the same time as the dollar and it put my account into insufficient funds, and a check to my church was going to bounce... Very embarrassing... not to mention the fee for that.
They were to send a "packet" of info... It never came.... when I called them early this month.. they tried to offer me some rebates.... and I was upset...... soooo I told them I wanted that money refunded and any thing they had for me to be cancelled.... They promised to do the refund right away, but it hasn't shown up as of today...(5/11/04)
I was very glad to see I am not the only one this has happened to and that something can be done about it.
