MWI Homeworks Rip-off unauthorized billing on American Express card Connecticut
I just received my American Express statement and found a charge for $119.95 for MWI Home & Garden Membership, MWI Homeworks. 877-444-7526. I called American Express and put the charge in dispute, then called the MWI number. I was told this was an add-on for an infomercial purchase.
I haven't purchased any infomercial items and did not authorize this "membership." The membership was cancelled.
I could not find out how this charge was made in the first place. I have made a report to the Attorney Generals office as well. I also requested that American Express inform me when they have completed making their investigation into the charge.
