MWI* Homeworks ripoff took money out of my checking account without my knowledge Connecticut
I was checking my bank account and found a debit for $109.95 which I had no clue what that was for. I called my husband to see if he purchased anything and he said no and he had never heard of this company. I called 1-877-844-1326 and I had to hit 4 different numbers to be put on hold for 1/2 hour.
I called my bank and they sent me an afidavit (spelling?) to fill out so they could get things started. I came home from work and tried to pull up www.mxi*homeworks.com and www.dealpath.com and of course nothing existed under those names. I then did a search and I about fell out of my chair when I saw what came up, "The Rip-off Report." I opened up a statement from someone and when I saw the exact dollar amount I was "taken" for I knew I was in trouble.
When you call this number they say "we can help you save on your home improvements" and actual use The Home Depot as an example. Does Home Depot know this so called company is using their name and if they do they really need to re-think that especially if they will be linked somehow.
Hopefully someone out there can help us close this company down!
