My Air Duct Pro, LLC Scam of Furnace Inspection - Deals not Worth It and Services Paid for NEVER Performed Gaithersburg, Maryland
I purchased a deal on Groupon offered by My Air Duct Pro (air-duct cleaning of all vents in the household, dryer-vent cleaning, and furnace inspection) and the technicians came Wednesday, July 11, 2012 to perform the service. The moment the technicians arrived and conducted the 'furnace inspection', they told me I needed a mold treatment and other 'needed' furnace cleaning services (initial added price was $399 which was down to $150 cash as I said No multiple times). I even called the company and dealt with the owner as attempted to refer them to a neighbor and asked for an additional discount and he was beond rude. Further reviews I have read said their 'mold treatment scam' is their standard procedure.
It should be noted the ad also stated Air-duct cleanings last 6090 minutes, and dryer-vent cleanings take about 30 minutes and the technicians were gone from my unit within 30 minutes! They never removed the vent covers nor cleaned the return air grille. Time spent cleaning the dryer vent(s) was 5 minutes at best.
They left without doing the service I paid for because I would not take them up on their additional services.
