Complaint Review: My Billing Services

I found a charge on my phone bill from a company I did not recognize.  I called my local phone company, Verizon, who informed me this was a charge they had to bill me for because they were legally required to accept third party billing.

They stated there was nothing they could do to have the charges removed but gave me the name of the company and when the charges occured.  They also provided me with the contact number for the company.

On several attempts to contact My Billing Services, I was unable to reach anyone.  Their phone just rings with no answer.  I also called the FTC and reported this company.  I then called the Billing Resource who is a company that bills for My Billing Services who did answer the phone and I spoke with a represenatative who claimed the charges would be removed in 2 billing cycles. 

I was told that someone with my fathers name, who has been deceased for over ten years signed up for the charge.  I wait with caution to see if the charges are removed.  I suggest everyone call their phone companies and immediately put a third party block on their phone so they don't experience what I have just been through. 

It is a shame that we live in a day and age where there are scammers taking advantage of fellow human beings.
