Complaint Review:
My Book Publicist
My Book Publicist Jonathan Spencer Pursued for months with promises and encouragement only to be deceived and ripped off. Internet
Aloha, I am the author of two POD books; first one published by Publish America -
didn't know much about POD's back in 2004 - learned a lot about what not to do,
but the book was published for free.
Second book published by Xlibris - thought I was being smarted this time -
spent lots of money hardly sold any books -but at least it got out there in
the cyber world.
Then,Jonathan Spencer came along with numberous phone calls for a period of
six months because I was reluctant to get into another dead end deal. With
constant call backs by him and information that I researched, it seemed like
this might be a way to get more recognition and sales; so in March 2011
I signed up for $349.00 using PayPal. Got a terrible web site design,
e-mailes asking for PDF copies of book and cover and publicity info - then NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING.
Several unanswered phone calls and e-mails -anger at once again being lead
down the garden path full of thorns, I contuned by research and found Ripoff
where another author has reported similar experiences with Jonathan.
If My Book Publicist is part of Amazon -why have they allowed this to continue.
I respectfully submit my complaint in hopes that I will NEVER AGAIN fall down the
rabbit hole.
