Complaint Review: My Diet Patches

My Diet Patches Ripoff, takes ruthless and shameless advantage of people who have weight issues. You sign you for a 7 day supply and they bill you for $170.00 later. DON'T BE SCAMMED like me Internet

I am 17 and signed up for the "free" 7 day supply, but being an opportunist I used my siblings names and email addresses to sign up for five more weeks of supplies.
At first my mother was only billed for those first 6 and then early one morning the bank called her and told her that a suspicious company trying to make numerous withdrawals from her bank account.

She immediately went in to the bank where they proceeded to tell her that there was a company trying to take $170 dollars out of the bank. She closed that account in hopes that they could not take out any more. A couple of days later, when she called into the bank to ask for progress the bank told her that her assets were in the negative.

They had not closed the account in time and the My Diet Patches withdrew $170 dollars 5 times. Bringing the total to $850 dollars. My mother had told me about the situation the day that the bank had called her.
I first sent emails to sales at mydietpatches.com and they were sent back saying that :**Please note that your previous email will not be delivered. You
must choose 1 of the two options above in order to receive support

So I sent an email from every email account that I had used to customercare at mydietpatches. com , to cancel the order, which by the way had not been placed.
I never received word back from them and instead received 5 packages of the 3 month supply, which I promptly sent back to the sender. Mean while, my mother has been on contact with the bank, and she has filled out a form stating that the withdrawals were unauthorized and illegal. The bank manager is working on getting the company to put the money they took out from her account back.

Until we get our money back, we only have enough money to pay for insurance, and the mortgage. When my mother closed her account the bank had to take her debit card, and she never has cash. The only way we've been able to pay for groceries is because we receive food stamps from the government.

Not only has My Diet Patches taken nearly $1,000 dollars illegally from my family. They also don't work at all. Don't get pulled into this rip-off and scam.
The ironic thing , is that this company is was on our local news this weeks as one of the top 4 diets in Arizona. Also because it is one of the As Seen on TV it is at numerous malls at the As Seen on TV stores.
Don't get sucked in. Americans, me included, need to stop looking for the easy way out. That's how these people rip- off and take advantage of us.

To the Person of Size 00 that I am ashamed I share the same state with:

Your remarks are prejudiced. I guess since you are as thin as a piece of paper you can never understand the nature of being a truly 'full bodied' person. I am 6 foot 5 inches tall and weigh 450lbs. I used to weight 275lbs 10 'short' years ago-what happened?

Well I quit smoking, changed my diet to a low fat, low calorie diet, started working out. Sounds like a good plan of action to become healthy? NOT in this case. I got a ventral hernya, had an operation, got the hernya again! I ballooned because I could not work out or walk more than 200 feet without sever pain. Do I complain? NO, nor do I take the generous amounts of percocets they prescribe me (they are addictive!). My wife, bless her soul, is overweight as well. Short of starving ourselves (which would be more unhealthy than not), we consume less than 1500 cals a day. We function in the real world without any assistance from anyone. I have a good sense of humor about my size. But I don't understand how people can act like obesity is a contagious disease. Obesity, unlike AIDS or other conditions, is caused by a large varity of factors, and many of them are either genetic or medical based, others are al la McDonalds!

Any way, if any diet program was worth any merit, it would be promoted by drug companies, If you look closely at any other diet methods you will find they have two things in common: DIET and EXERCISE, which are FREE for you to monitor and maintain, the variable is what placebo you want to plug in with your DIET and EXERCISE that you want to give credit to for any progress YOU make toward you goals!

Don't fall for 'free trials' on the internet or over the phone. This site is full of the BS people have had to go through to get something for nothing.

190 is overweight?

#13Consumer Comment

Hay M, You say that you have thyroid problem, and you only weigh 190? COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS. I would understand you saying that if your weight was 300+, but 190? Most men wouldn't think you had a weight problem. To me a size 0 is NOT ATTRACTIVE at all. And to all the women out there who ARE a size Zero, EAT SOMETHING and get some meat on your bones.

This is in response to Candie - Benson, North Carolina. I resent your comments "Just go on a diet and do not eat 24 hours a day and you will lose weight. People that overweight make me sick for the simple fact they complain constantly and people like me can not even go into any given store and find clothing sized 00" I have a thyroid problem which causes me to be overweight. I eat VERY Healthy and exercise 5 times a week. Yet I still weight 190 LBS. You are a mean nasty person. I have nothing against skinny people. But I HATE skinny people who say thinks like you. They are very wrong and hurtful things to say. Things like what you said are the reason why people don't like you!

This is just great- you have the extra money in a bank account for them to withdrawl 800 dollars or more but all the while you receive food stamps?
Good old America! Just go on a diet and do not eat 24 hours a day and you will lose weight. Or better yet, get a job and help your mother out so she can stop sucking the welfare system. How did they get your MOTHERS bank account number? People that overweight make me sick for the simple fact they complain constantly and people like me can not even go into any given store and find clothing sized 00. If you ask me, she got what she asked for .
