My Fashion Initiative tauts itself as the answer to the fashion industry woes designers have on being able to start up their business, get their funding and not get scammed.

WRONG. Do not listen to them. Every word that comes out of their mouths are lies. They are definitely scamming many many people out of hard earned cash, on top of that being what they say they will protect you against, they also be-rate clients and really literally never produce.

You pay them to consult with you on your business, write your business plan and help you find loans, and make sales for a year, and end up with nothing 8 months down the line. And don't bother calling or emailing, they won't return your messages. The staff is more busy building myspace profiles and sending out messages than actually doing the work for you that you contracted with them for.

Even more outrageous, they want you to pay at least $50,000 for the services on top of sales commission! And if you don't they raise the commission and try to lock you in for 3 to 5 year monthly payments.

And they also are not as large as they say. Floating about there are reports that the company has upwards of 800 employees. FALSE. It is the owner and 3 interns, whom he doesn't pay. And there is incredible turnover of the employees that are competent, you could end up have 5 different account managers in a 3 month period. The owner is not only scamming clients, he's scamming his employees too.

If you are a designer, buyer or anyone else that has been contacted by them or thinking of working with them, stay far far away. You definitely do not want your name associated with this company, ever.

Past Employee Truth

#5UPDATE EX-employee responds

Thu, April 10, 2008

To Ken... yes, Ken...

Regarding your "fired" employee "MR." My Fashion Initiative has not fired any of its employees, they have left all for very similar reasons. Your former employee, if you can call it that, left for reasons that have not been discussed and will remain private. It is my hope MR will no longer be blamed for future insecuritites and that MFI rest assured MR has not taken to the public to slander them or defend MR, yet.

A single questions should be asked in all dealings with MFI. Show Me?

The Straight Arrow.

SOUNDS LIKE SOMEONE THAT WORKED FOR MFI AND WAS FIRED LAST MONTH IS NOW MAD.

I have to say that for someone claiming to have been ripped off, you certainly know a lot of inside information.....

I have a suggestion: maybe you are part of the massive firing that occured last month. Possibly one of the employees fired for promoting their own agendas, soliciting money from MFI and using their funds for your own personal gain.

Now, that is just a suggestion, but for someone to have inside information you would have to have been on the inside. And if you are no longer on the inside it must mean that you were fired. And if you were fired then it seems that you are just trying to exact revenge on MFI.

I, however, am a client of MFI. I am not hiding behind anonymous postings that claim to be from different parts of the country but use the same writing techniques, grammer and punctuation. It's like a fingerprint, you see. Read the original anonymous post from NY and then read the follow up post from a different city and state and lo and behold they are the same person. Check it out.

I have not been ripped off by Louis Sanchez. He actually assisted me just this past week in a 2.5 Million dollar deal with a major retailor. Now if that is getting ripped off then please, rip me off some more.

I am so upset that you are taking this stance again this company. And I have a feeling I know who you are (MR).

Well, just my 2 cents.....

I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with MFI. It seems to me that you are one of the only people I have ever heard of that has something negative to say about this company.

MFI has helped numerous designers reach their dreams of success by offering them access to one of the largest buyers networks in the world.

I for one have seen first hand the work the MFI does and will put my reputation on the line to state that MFI is by far the best company of its kind in the US.

Maybe you should try to work out something with the owner. I have dealt with him and he personally answers my phone calls whether I call him at his office or his home. I really don't know why he never spoke with you.

As for berating the buyers/customers this is something that is just NOT DONE. MFI works with numerous buyers and their success is based on a well established relationship with these buyers. MFI operates partially on commision from sales and to berate a client would be counterproductive.

Good luck.

The Lies Lies Lies continue

#5Author of original report

My Fashion Initiative is now insisting that they have connections with over 250 fashion sales repping firms. Obviously, ethical business practices do not mean much with this company, since this is a bold faced lie. This is the direct quote from their website:

"My Fashion Initiative provides all of its clients representation through a combination of our staff and partnerships we have developed with Independent Fashion Sales Rep Firms. We are currently partnered with over 250 Fashion Rep Firms around the world and growing every month."

This is absolutely a complete line of lies. I know for a FACT that they have no more than ONE firm they are working with, it is also very potential that they are no longer working with this company as the firm's website has been shut down.

The moral of the story....DO NOT GIVE THIS GUY ANY MONEY, YOU WILL REGRET IT! Louis will tell you what you want to hear in order to get you to buy and then forget that you exist. Don't get duped!
