My Grocery Discounts My Pharmacy Discounts no value, no communication, only charges. Plattsburgh NY
In short, the company began charging my father-in-law's credit card a total of $35.90 per month for 4 months. $17.95 for myfamilypharmacydiscounts.com and $17.95 for mygrocerydiscounts.com. These are paid services that claim to provide rebates for pharmacy and grocery purchases.
When I called for a refund I was told he agreed to sign up for these services when ordering a collection of music CDs through Time Life. They also claimed to have "attempted to contact" him by phone, postal service, and email. When I said I handle his mail and had never received a letter the response was "well we sent it back in january". After being passed to a supervisor I was offered a refund for one month of charges. I requested the entire amount that they have charged and the supervisor just repeated "he agreed to these charges so legally we don't have to refund anything" At that point I asked for proof that he agreed to it, and was told "we have the call recorded to cover ourselves. After I asked to hear the call the only response I got was "he agreed to the terms of service" again and again until the supervisor hung up on me.
This company has no BBB listing to file a complaint, when called back I was told there is no parent corporation and the companies operate as "MyGroceryDiscounts" and "MyFamilyPharmacyDiscounts". Their official address is a rented mailbox at a UPS Store in New York.
I still need to contact Time Life, since the call center employees there are the ones who truely signed my father-in-law up for these and two other recurring monthly charges. So there will be a seperate report filed for Time Life, as well as 'Taste for Savings" and "Value Smart"
