My IFServices ripped me off: Continued charges to checking account after cancelling my account. Fraudulent practices, Broken promises.

In May of 2006 I applied for what I thought was a legimate credit card from a company called My IFServices. I was approved and promised a card within a three weeks. After almost two months I recieved a package in the mail which was only a catalog, and a plastic card with the company name printed on it.
The card only had a web address and my login name and password.

I was totally disapointed wtih what I got. I called the company's toll free and spoke to Abdul. I ask to cancle my account he told me that would be fine. He said that he cancelled the account, and that I would not be charged again.

I ask for a confirmation number, Adbul spit out some number off the top of his head. I ask to speak to a manager. I was told by Adbul that he was the manager. He hung up. I called back and got nowhere. I've been told by the company's representive that I could cancle my account within 72 hours of the next billing date. I cancelled within a week of the next billing cycle. I even went to my bank and stopped any future payments on my checking account from this company.

I went to my bank today, and found the company used a different company to hit my account with for additional $150.00.

This is not fair, it's a total ripoff. Right when I have to buy school supplies, and new clothes for my children. Now I dont have the money in my account after paying my other bills to get what my children need. Is there anything I can do to keep this company from taking advantage of other people?

If you want your money back from this company contact the Fl Dept. of Agriculture, the Clearwater local F.B.I. office, the Fl Dept. of Law Enforcement and the Pinellas County office of Consumer Affairs. Also file a complaint with the Fl Attorney General. The BBB can't help you! Adam Shorr now owns University Loan Services/Solutions also.
