MyiProducts IMail obtained my personal contact information via a website designed to offer discounts to nationwide restaurants Forest Lake Minnesota
While reviewing my December AT&T phone bill, I noticed a page with a billing logo from ESBI (Enhanced Services Billing, Inc). The description named MyiProducts iMail Voicemail, with a monthy fee of $14.95. There was an telephone number to contact for questions.
When I called this number, I spoke to a representative who told me that I'd signed up for this service which also included a personal 800 number for my use. I told her that I never signed up for this service and she mentioned an offer for $1,000 off of restaurant bills, which I did sign up for.
I asked her to send me proof of my signing up and was sent a page with my personal information on it and three e-letters: 1) confirming my order, 2) a welcome letter and 3) a letter of insturctions on setting up my voicemail.
I later spoke to another rep because I did not sign up for this service since I already had a voicemail machine. This rep said the offer form had be 'traced back' to my computer address and maintained that although I was going to get refunded for the Decmeber charge of $14.95, I would not be refunded for the past two charges from October and November.
The Better Business Bureau shows a negative rating and the company is not a member.
