Complaint Review: MyLife.com Inc.

MyLife.com, Inc. I contacted customer service to have my account taken down. I waited 1/2 hour each time, only for their system to disconnect me. Los Angeles CA

I came across mylife.com while searching for a newspaper article on my neighbor.  During my search, I noticed that her profile came up on mylife.com. My husband and I were listed on her profile.  We were shocked to see that we had profiles on this site that rounded up and posted our public record information.  The site also gave us a reputation score. 

When we researched the company, we saw many complaints and lawsuits have been filed. We also read that we should be able to contact customer service to take our profile down.  Unfortunately, it became clear their phone system must be set up to 1) dissuade you from staying on hold (it starts out each time telling you that you are the 20th caller with a 30 minute wait) and 2) if you wait the 30 minutes, the phone system disconnects you.

I plan on filing a complaint with government as well.
