MyPerfectCredit.com - First Credit of America ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing and collections Carson City Nevada
A collection agency by the name of First Credit of America contacted me at work and asked for my wife. They stated that MyPerfectCredit.com made a collection claim to them in the amount of $59.95. The bill was for a "free on-line credit report" and the 6 months of "membership" that came with it.
They could provide the last 4 digits of my wife's social security number, but could not provide our mailing address, her contact phone information or even a copy of an invoice-let alone our bank information which was supposed to be charged for this "free service".
They threatened that if I didn't pay the total amount *today* that they would be forced to report it to the credit bureau. I replied that I that we never received a credit report, we didn't use their service, and we weren't paying for anything unless they could produce an invoice. They provided me MyPerfectCredit.com's 800 number- which is always busy.
In the meantime, I checked with my wife- who denied using their service and would never put in personal information on to a web page.
I find it very frustrating to be faced with a negative point on my credit report because of some company who states I owe money, but can't produce an invoice.
