As of close of business on March 18, 2011, I have not received a refund on my credit card.  I have found out more about the company.

Mypopcornmachine.com is an online store front that sells merchandise by taking orders and then processing the order through a 3rd party supplier. The customer support that they are so proud of is based in India. That accounts for the accent William had when I spoke with him on the phone. Nothing is wrong with outsourcing to India, I just mention it to show that they really have no business in the USA, just a store front. The business is owned by a Mr. Dominic Lee who resides in Hong Kong.

Today, March 18, 2011, I sent an email to their customer support and have indicated I will get the owner of the company involved through legal action if my refund is not processed by COB on Monday, March 21, 2011. A real company would have already processed my refund by now.

I know it does not make sense for a company to withhold a refund. That is the way some of these scammers make their living. I will continue this matter on Monday after COB and see if I yet have
a refund of my $45.84.

On Monday, March 21, 2011, I received yet another email from the "Customer Service" department ini India. They said to give them another "weak" (sic) and they would work out my refund. I relented and waited until Friday, March 25, 2011, and then sent an email threatening a law suit and that I would have no further contact with them.  I contacted MasterCard on Monday, March 28, 2011, and had the billing disputed. Then magically on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, a credit came through on my MasterCard.

It took over a month and a lot of hassle to resolve this issue.   I would not recommend that anyone do business with this company as they are scam artists, and located outside the US where they can pretty much do as they please.
