Complaint Review: Mystery Shopper Inc.

I recently received an offer to be a "mystery shopper" from a company in Marietta, GA named Mystery Shopper, Inc.  The idea appeared interesting and the pay offered was enticing. I received a cashier's check for $1,975.00 to perform retail purchases, wire transfers via Western Union and compensation for me.  I was to retain $150.00 for myself, $20.00 for transportation expenses, purchase $30.00 worth of goods at a local Wal-mart and wire the remailing $1,775.00 to Mystery Shopper, Inc. in Marietta, Georgia.  The combination of the 4th grade grammatical errors the letter was laced with and my 19 years in commercial banking in Detroit convinced me that this was something to run from as fast as one could.  I would strongly recommend that anyone who receives a similar offer from Mystery Shopper, Inc. do likewise.
