Complaint Review: Mystery Shopper Inc.

Received email relating potential mystery shopper position in my local area / as I have performed this task before and missed doing the evaluations, I answered the ad.     A priority USPS envelope arrived with my FIRST assignment along with a check for $1690.  The fact that there was not a date, company logo or signature was my initial concern but as I read through the letter I was sure this was too good to be true.   Contacting the credit union USAlliance Credit Union after verifying the routing number, the live chat person "Mario" was not very helpful.   With further research I found this is a regular scam - I will be reporting this to the federal trade commission as well as turning over the cashier's check to my local bank.  The letter instructions said to "text" 832 318 0209 once the letter/check was received and again when the check was deposited with available funding date - I did text this number to inform them I was reporting them!
