Mystery Shoppers Online Jobs got me.  Or should I say, Jennifer Johnson got me.  Her well constructed website, use of terminology like 'we', 'our' and 'departments', along with the prompt sending of the first set of 'Job sheets' made me dismiss any consideration I might usually have given to the old adage that states, "If it looks to good to be true..."

However, once I signed on and recieved my first 'Job Sheet' and started working I quickly became suspicious when the different 'departments' I reached out to were always responded to by none other than Ms. Jennifer Johnson.  The alleged 'support' department was in fact, Ms. Johnson.  The 'payment' department was Ms. Johnson.  And, no surprise here, the 'complaint' was also Ms. Johnson.

No where within this company did I find another person other than Ms. Johnson.  In other words, there are no 'departments', persay, in this company.  There is only Ms. Johnson.  Which, in and itself, I suppose is no big deal except that is not how she presents the company.  And, when you are willing to mislead others in order to gain their participation, the chances that you are operating completely above board and committed to transparency in all that you claim you are, becomes suspect at best.

Which is exactly where I found myself with Mystery Shoppers Online Jobs, AKA, Ms. Johnson.  For starters, when I reported that several websites I was asked to review were loaded with Malware and viruses, and therefore I could not safely continue, the pay I was promised for reviewing those websites was subtracted from the total payment amount I was told I would receive.  Secondly, while it is to be expected that the job descriptions for each site you are supposed to review vary depending on the site, I did not expect to be mislead by the actual instructions given and then denied payment for allegedly not fulfilling the 'job' requirement.  (Ex: One job description began with the sentence, "If you are interested in becoming a doctor then open this site and complete the review."  Since I am not even remotely interested in pursuing a medical career I said as much and moved on to the next one.  I was penalized for not reviewing and pretending I was interested in becoming a doctor.)

These things were disturbing and unfair at best.  However, what really is the most outrageous conduct employed by Ms. Johnson was her use of complimentary emails as to my job performance, her portrayal of excitement at my alleged future with her company and her presentation of her so called 'company' that leads prospective job seekers to believe that if they do the work, they will continue to get work and be compensated accordingly.  This simply is not true.

The reality of my working for Ms. Johnson was as follows.  I started shortly after the alleged pay day for that month, which was the said to be the third of each month, and so since Ms. Johnson's website states that you can make up to $500 a week I assumed that once I was 'accepted' as an employee (she states that not everyone is accepted) that I would at the very least have ongoing work and therefore receive payment for my work.  That is not the reality of Mystery Shoppers Online Jobs.  Here is how it went.  You are required to finish each job sheet within 4 days of downloading it.  No big deal, right? Wrong.  While each job sheet that you are given says you complete it within two hours, that is not the way it plays out.  Ms.Johnson makes it very clear on her 'training' page that you MUST at all times pretend to be something you are not, cannot refuse a phone call and cannot ever say you are not interested or reveal you are not what you say are, an interested customer.  You must allow communication from every website assigned to you and and allow any and all communication from them.  In other words, you are at the mercy of the websites and their time schedule, not your own.  And, you must not only participate in trials, you are required to stay in them for at least 90 percent of the time given for the trial.  Thus, leaving yourself open to having to respond accordingly and you are not payed for that time spent trying not to get fired.

My point is that considering the amount you are payed for a job sheet, i.e., $14 and $32, respectively (Minus the substractions of course for not allowing spam, virus's or malware onto your computer.) and then the time it takes for Ms. Johnson to confirm your submissions and comfirm your request for payment of that job, which in my case was several days, before being sent the next one, the likelihood of you making anywhere near $500.00 a week as she claims is all but impossible.

But, believe it not, even given all the above, and taking into consideration how complimentary and encouraging Ms. Johnson's emails were, I was still trying to remain optimistic and was willing to proceed.  So, after turning in the second job sheet, the one I was supposed to make $32 on but was informed several deductions were being made in spite of having done the job as asked, I waited for the next job sheet to no avail.  None came.  So, I contacted the 'support' department asking as to when the next job sheet would be forth coming.  Not suprisingly, it was again Ms. Johnson who responded stating there was nothing wrong, she just didn't have any more jobs for at the moment but she assured me she would be sending the next job sheet as soon as did.

I never heard from her again.  My submission for payment of the two jobs I did complete and have confirmation on having completed, by none other than Ms. Johnson herself,  have remained unpaid.

In conclusion, if you are expecting Mystery Shopper Online Jobs to be everything Ms. Johnson claims it to be and are considering giving it a try I would warn you that in spite of Ms. Johnson's warning to be aware of sites that claim to be legit Mystery Shoppers Jobs and aren't, hers would be one to add to that list.  You will NOT make $500.00 a week, not even close.  I suppose you could make maybe $100 a month, but even then you are not guaranteed to actually get your money because there exists every possibility that, like me, you will be showered with praise and then for no reason that you have been informed of you will be upbruptly dumped and as far as the 'company' is concerned you will cease to exist.

One last thing,  Ms. Johnson says you must have a credit card to work for her but assures that any money spent will be reembursed.  Not only is it not reembursed but in one instance there was no avenue to stop payment on my own because the number she gave to use to cancel was no good.  You will be saturated with unwanted emails, your phone will ring off the hook and both, along with whatever device you used to work for her, will be loaded with virus's, malware and spam.  You will have lied to business's, lawyers, and independant contractors just trying to make a living and for what?

In my case, not a d**n thing but time lost, energy wasted and ungodly amounts of headaches to endure in order to stop the flow of damage done to your privacy, devices and whatever credit card you used to complete your job sheets.

Beware my friends, of wolves in sheeps clothing, for they are definitely our their waiting with promises they have no intention of fulfilling.
