Being that I have been recently looking for work, I put my resume online. I received a email from Matthew Bond and he stated that he wanted to hire me as a mystery shopper. So I accepted the position. I spoke with him a few times and he stated that  I was going to receive a check in the mail.

I received the check last Saturday, June 16, 2012 and the next week on June 19, 2012, I deposited the check into my checking account and waited for it to clear. On today, Friday, June 22,2012, I was notified by my bank that the check was returned. So I called my bank to find out what the reason was for the check being returned.

They stated to me that the check was counterfeit. I tried to email him back but received no answer. I called the number that I had communicated with him on earlier in the week, but the person who answered said that they were a company who dealt with structured settlements.

They didn't have my name on file nor did they have the name of the person who was on the envelope. I was instructed to take $300 for my weeks pay, spend $50 at WalMart and evaluate the service and the clerk, and send the rest western union.

Being that the check was returned, I was charged $12 by the bank. I am truly happy that it didn't clear, and that I didn't send any money. This was a total SCAM!
