I had contacted my local telephone provider AT&T concerning a charge for 9.95 for a Voce Message Monthly Fee that was billed on behalf of MYTELEBILL, LLC. I do not have any voicemail programs on my home phone service.

They informed me that I would have to contact the MYTELEBILL people directly because they have an approved contract with AT&T. When I asked how AT&T could allow a company to just force charges onto consumers they said that it must have been authorized through a contest or survery entry, or some type of internet link that someone had clicked from my home. Since I have teenagers that is a possibiltiy, but it should be possible for me to cancel this charge.

I have called the 800-736-7500 number that is provided on the AT&T bill only to be directed to call 866-493-0486. No live person will ever take a call. You can leave a voicemail message, but no one will return the calls. I looked the company up on the web at MYTELEBILL.com only to find that it is a bogus 1 page website with only one link. The phone number there directs you to the 1-800-736-7500 number which sends you back through the no response hell.

I did finally send a registered letter to the address on the website. So far, no response. Won't someone please stop these people?
