My Father-in Law had a stroke and could not fly from Manila to Los Angeles November 2017 he had paid for both himself and his wife but his doctor had advised him not to travel. The Airline tickets were purchased through Mytrip.com. Mytrip.com had asked for a Doctors Certificate, we sent this to them. We had spoke to travel Operation Agents Angelie Pangilinan,Christos Mandilas and Gabriela Lianouton just to name a few Agents about our refund. We did not realize that the calls were to Greece and ended up with a $360.00 phone bill. We also contacted Philippine Airlines and they said they already credited the refund back to the credit card, which was actually credited back to Mytrip.com's credit card not ours. Mytrip.com said they would refund our money back within 30 days back on 1/16/2018 as per Gabriela Lianouton. They did not. As of this writing, it's going into the 4th month without a refund and according to the Airline and Travel agency consumer rules, they must return refunds no later than 22 days. It seems a simple thing to do to refund a unused ticket but I guess they just want to steal your money and think they can get away with it. But what's really sad is that they took my father-in-laws money who lives a very humble life in the Philippines and it took a very long time to save his money to purchase his ticket to come to the U.S. Plus now he could use that refund money of( $639.49 after fines and such) to pay for desperately needed medical care after his stroke. So many phone calls and Emails to MyTrip.com and now they refuse to even respond back. Sad!
