Warning to anyone looking for a job and must settle for telemarketing. You will be better off going and doing daily labor, at least you know you will actually get paid.
There were 6 people in my training class on Monday. The next day after we had to sign an independent contractors agreement, only 3 people showed up.
The next day, Wednesday, still 3 people left until lunch time. They let a girl go, so it was down to 2 of us. On Friday, after working a full week, it was down to myself and another person. After lunch they fired him. Not any of these people were paid for the time they worked that week. Telemarketing companies know that anybody who is coming in for a job now is so desperate that yes we will actually sign an agreement that releases them from paying us if it doesn't work out. I had never prayed so hard in my life, because I was in essence wasting an entire week and risking not getting paid a dime for all of my time. I was lucky for 3 weeks. When they did fire me though I found out that they owed me over 300.00 in commission pay and they refused to pay me because I was 2 sales short from making my quota, and that was the week that we didn't work that Friday because we were off for the 4th of July weekend, so I only had 4 days to make my quota instead of the 5 days I should have had.
They didn't even pay me my last 38.00 paycheck. Look out for Denise also, she will steal your leads, and your sales as well. She is the only person who can run people's credit cards for authorization, so you never know if she is being honest when she tells you that you didn't get that sale because the card was denied, and you don't dare question her authority! She is a thief and the boss knows it, but for some reason, he lets her get away with it. Also, we can give the 800 number out for potential clients to call us back. Out of the 2 1/2 weeks I was actually on the phone making sales, strangely enough I never received one call back, out of giving that number out to at the very least 500 people. We don't answer that line, Denise answers it, and she can give that call or lead to anyone she wants to, including herself. This is a very wicked and greedy woman and just look at her and you will see a very hard looking person who you just know not to mess with.
