We were innocently booking a hotel room in pigeon Forge,TN.When the operator of this 1-877...answered and got all our information and offered us a deal of 2 nights for only 60 dollars at Ramada Inn.The call was transferred and only then, we were told that we would be charged 60 dollars each night if we did not attend a 90 minute presentation in Smoky Mountain Resort.
We were supposed to get a 'package' with all the information about the trip and it did not arrive until 18 hours after that.As we needed to know our itinerary and confirm our reservation, we called them back and, surprise: we were informed that if we didn't attend the presentation, we would be charged 100,00, not the initial 60 dollars.
We tried then to cancel the whole thing and put an end to this nightmare and,guess what?We would be charged 25 dollars for service fee plus 100 dollars for cancelling within 72 hours prior to the check in time.
How can someone be so threatened and ripped off just because they wanted to have a 3 day getaway?
PLEASE,IF U ARE READING THIS BEFORE TRYING THE WEST GATE WEBSITE, JUST DON'T DO IT!
