Complaint Review: NME National Magazine Exchange

N.M.E. National Magazine Exchange ripoff Initial lack of clarity, misleading CLEARWATER Florida

I read reports regarding NME before I called so I already had a heads up on the situation. The "salesperson" inquired as to whether or not I owned a credit card (as credit card holders are the only ones eligible for entry) but I was worried about his intentions and backed out of the conversation even after he told me that there was a $1,000,000 winner just two weeks ago. I'm glad I looked this information up before I was taken advantage of. Overall, being knowledgeable about this situation prevented me from being drawn into a possibly unfortunate situation.

Thanks T for the info on NME.
I am also in Chicago and received a letter from NME today. Glad I have access to the internet. I knew something was wrong because I don't fill out sweepstakes - I don't be bothered by pesky salespeople. Found it kinda strange that I would receive a notification stating that someone has been trying to get a hold of me after only living in my place 3 weeks (moved here from the 'burbs). Also strange that it was addressed how my name is in the phone book - just my first initial. Thanks SBC!
