We received an unsolicited fax at work on May 28th 2008 offering health insurance with $25.00 doctors visits, primary care, specialist or chiropractic care, large PPO network, no annual contract, no waiting periods and you could cancel at any time. The premium for a single person was $199.00 with $125.00 non-refundable set up fee. We thought it seemed too good to be true and both my boss and I called them seperately and asked if it was insurance and was told yes, asked if a certain Dr was in their plan and was told yes, later found out that was not true. Said they were underwritten by ACE Insurance, which was a lie, it is apparently underwritten by Consolidated Workers Association. However, given what we were told we went ahead and signed up. They withdrew the $199.00 + $125.00 from my account 5 days later. When we investigated more and found out the truth sent them a fax to cancel, as instructed in their paperwork. I then went to my Bank and filed a fraud claim and a few days later was refunded all my money by my Bank, unfortunately my boss wasn't so lucky and she is still waiting for her refund despite calling and faxing them numerous times. The old addage of "If it seems to be too good to be true it probably is" is so right. Don't know how people can work for this company and tell obvious lies over the phone. Must be many people who don't realize its fraud until they need medical care. They must still be making tons of money because they say you will receive a refund in 60 days so they are collecting the interest all that time, if not longer. THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED.
