Nacome Kennels IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A PUPPY TO BUY DONT GO HERE!! BUYER BEWARE! ripoff Lehighton Pennsylvania
THIS IS THE REPORT FILED TO THE BBB AND IT INCLUDES THEIR REDICULOUS RESPONSE. WHICH IS B.S. I WOULD HAVE NEVER GOTTEN A DIME BACK FROM THEM IF I DIDNT THREATEN TO TAKE THEM TO COURT. BUYER BEWARE!
Consumer's Original Complaint :
I paid a $100.00 deposit to Nacoma Kennels for a rottweiler puppy that I was told would be born Feb 19th. When I called to find out if the puppy had been born i was told that the mother was never even pregnant and that i would get a refund of my deposit. Now they are not returning my calls and no money has been refunded. I feel that I have been scammed. When I paid my deposit I was told that the female was definately pregnant and due on the 19th then when I called the breeder told me that he wasnt sure if she was pregnant for sure or not. If he provided proper vet care for his dogs then he would know if she was pregnant for sure or not. Especially being that she was due already by the time I called to check on my puppy. Now they are dodging me completely. I am worried that they are collecting deposits from other people and not delivering on their promises. I want my money back and I want to make sure they dont rip anyone else off again as well. Thank you!
Consumer's Desired Resolution:
I want my money back. There is no other option. This business is unprofessional and I would never wish to do business with them again.

Kelly did visit our kennel and saw the females that we had bred, went home and talked to her husband which they both came back a week later on 2/2 and looked at our kennel and breeding pairs again, picked out a pair of parents and put a deposit down on the litter that was expected to be born 0n 2/19. Kelly did call us on the 19th to see if the pups were born yet and she was told not yet that it is not uncommon for females to carry either early, late or on time and to check with us a few days later. She did call back and was told at that time that the breeding was not successful and that it was a false pregnancy and her options were either a full refund or her deposit applied to the next litter. She chose a refund which was sent within 3 days (on 3/5) of her decision.
It is not fair for Kelly or her husband to assume that we do not provide proper vet care or that we just take peoples deposits for nothing. Our vet was at our Kennel on 2/5 and looked at the females that were expecting and he even thought that this particular female was bred. We could have taken all of our expecting females in the different breeds that we have to have them sedated and Xrays done but that is unnecessary and risky for the moms.
We had 6 deposits on this expected litter and 4 of them wanted to be moved to the next litter and 2 wanted refunds. Both Kelly and her husband were here on different occasions and had full access to our kennel and they could see in full view the condition of all of our dogs and the health that they are in. They saw the parents up close they even petted them. If unproper vet care was a concern, they would have seen it before they put a deposit down. It is not fair for them to assume, we have never "scammed" or "ripped off" anyone and the other deposits are very happy and when I told them of this complaint they would like to respond to the Ayoso's personally for our customers feel that this is a raw deal for us.
We have been breeding professionally since the 1970's and have many, many, many grateful customers. I let everyone know about this complaint when they call or come by us so that they know we are honest when they put a deposit down. It is a shame that this couple is doing this to us. But our customers are on our side.

03/15/2007 WEB BBB RECEIVED CONSUMER INFORMATION : (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
That is absolutely untrue. I am glad she feels like going to her customers and lying once again. We visited her kennel ONE TIME ONLY and we believed what she said. At the time that we were standing there talking to her we were back and forth with a decision and then decided not to wait so we gave her the money right then and their. On the 20TH of February (A DAY AFTER THE PUPS WERE SUPPOSED TO BE BORN. NOT TO MENTION THEY NEVER CALLED TO SAY NO PUPS WERE BEING BORN. AND IM SURE BY THE DUE DATE THEY OBVIOUSLY NEW THERE WERE NONE TO BE EXPECTED!)
I called them and spoke to GUS CERINO the supposid owner of the kennels and he told me he DIDN"T KNOW if NATASHA was pregnant or not and in the past she only had ONE pup that survived and that he would have to check her again and let me know. I told him that I needed his wife to give me a call immediatly (BC SHE IS THE ONE THAT MADE THE DEAL WITH US AND SHE IS THE ONE THAT ASSURED US THAT WE WERE GETTING A PUPPY FROM THAT MALE AND FEMALE) and NO CALL WAS RETURNED. Then I sent 2 seperate emails which I have copies of and NOTHING.
Then I finally got his wife on the phone and told her what he said and she said "OH WELL I DON"T KNOW HE IS THE ONE WHO KNOWS THOSE DOGS INSIDE AND OUT" "direct quote!". I NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN until I threatened to take them to court and file a complaint against them to the better business bureau. When I sent the email telling them that I would report them, I told them they had til I believe I said "TUESDAY" to get me my money and low and behold my refund got here monday. I had sent the email on friday, and I have a copy of that too. They are so lame to say that they are spreading the word to all of their customers. and that they all wanted to notify me personally.
BRING IT ON AND I WILL LET THEM ALL KNOW HOW LUCKY THEY ARE THAT THEY ACTUALLY GOT WHAT THEY WANTED BUT THAT NOT ALL THEIR CUSTOMERS WERE AS LUCKY AND THAT THIS IS A SHADY DEAL. I would NEVER do business with them again nor will anyone else I know or see walking down the street. BELIEVE ME I AM LETTING EVERYONE I KNOW AND SEE AS WELL. Breeding dogs isnt guess work. When I was at your house you seemed like nice people to my face then not to even return one phone call EVER until you are threatened with a law suit is REDICULOUS.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!

I lost a dog to disease in July 2007. I missed him dearly and sought to purchase a dog to replace the giant void he left. We purchased a Rottweiler puppy from Nacoma in September of 2007. Five years later he is a handsome giant of a beast. He is loving and protective of my wife and small children. He is an affectionate and respectful companion to me. His every action is an example of intelligence and alertness. I would not hesitate to add "Max" to our family if I had the choice again.

I purchased two dogs from Nacoma Kennels. One Rottweiler in 2005, and a Husky in 2007. I spoke with both Gus and his wife. On both occasions, they were nothing but nice and professional. They showed me the parents of the dogs and all their animals seemed to be well cared for. Also, the dogs that I have are some of the most well tempered dogs I have ever owned. I have recommended them to friends and family, and they have had nothing but good things to say about Nacoma. If/when I am looking for another dog, Nacoma will be my first stop. I'm sorry to hear about someone elses bad experience, but as far as I'm concerned, they have a customer for life.
