NACPB (Natl Assoc of Certified Public Bookkeepers) Total waste of money, Internet
Although it is categorized as an "org" (ie: not income based) it is a total fraud. Once they take your money, you will never hear from them again. Logins do not work; contacted the admin for the site; that phone just rings (15-20 rings at a time)and there is no voicemail; email to his admin also bounces. Have attempted to contact the "info@nacpb.org" for over 6 weeks...and they all bounce with no reply. Have attempted to contact his associates (ie: graduates of this system and they all bounce also).
I am a paid member sorry to say....and there is nothing to this site except to extract your money with the promise of taking a certification course....(also non existant). It is a fraud, a scam and stay away.

I joined NACPB in 2008, I was greatly helped by the course offered by the organization. I was able to land a great paying job. Actually,I am still using the skills I learned from the courses. Back then, it was only $199.00 for the bookkeeper course and $99 to join the membership and I got a tons of free pdf training books online. It was a GREAT DEAL!!!
It was the first organization to put the useful materials together that actullay help working adults. I spent four years in university and did not learn as much as I learned from NACPB.
I don't know who want to destroy this organization so badly. I guess they are the adversarial companies who cannot stand success of others. I guess it's a fact of life.

I only had Great experiences with the NACPB. I became Licensed in payroll through them since 2014, and they have always responded to my questions. Whatever issue you may have had in 2012, were most likely corrected before I became a member.

NACPB is NOT a Ripoff--I am certified thru them

I am not sure why you had this experience or say the things you say. I have access to the website and when I call or email I receive answers within 24 hrs or so. I studied and had to pass exams in order to receive my license (certification). There are tesing sites they are using. This company is above board and you do not waste your money. I have compared AIPB and NACPB and chose to go with NACPB. I think that these ripoff reports may be here to push AIPB. I now of other members that are in the Quickbooks Group on LinkedIn will say the same thing I say. Please check it out before believing these ripoff stories. They are just badmouthing the company for their own reasons.

Everything I stated in my complaint is valid and true. I am allowing my full profile to be seen by this fraudulent company and allow them to find any fault in my claims. I also have numerous emails as proof that this NACPB is a sham and does not stand by any of their statements.
The fact they "offer" a 30-day refund is probably true; however, it is impossible to contact anyone at their company (including their so called customer service) at any time immediately after this 30-day period. Their phones go unanswered during business hours, several days in a row unless you want to stay on the phone 24/7. Their study materials, which you have to find online, are abysmal at best. Their "testing" methods don't exist; try contacting a test center at Prometric to see if they offer it...I have, and they do not; nowhere in central Florida.
I have not found ANY CPA firm that has either 1)Heard of NACPB and 2)Personally recommends this company. (except the owner, of course , who touts himself as a CPA).
My only purpose is to alert potential students to more reputable, valid and trusted educational resources than to spend their hard earned money with a company that would provide them with a useless end result. I have met more certified bookkeepers thru AICPB (which is a division of the CPA's own certification program, or AICPA) than any (not one) "certified" by NACPB. Every single grad "featured" on their site I attempted to contact and as of today (November 13, 2013)....still have not been able to contact ANY of them thru their own websites (which appear abandoned).
Thank you for providing this resourceful forum.

We have no idea who this person is or why they made the false statements they made.
We are a national association serving over 6,000 members since 2006 with a Better Business Bureau A+ business rating.
The following is our reply:

We don't understand the point the writer is trying to make. A ".org" domain name does not mean "not income based".

Once they take your money, you will never hear from them again.

This statement makes no since at all. If he/she is referring to our Members Only password protected portal (logins), they work just fine for the 6,000 members of our association.

We have certified over 15,000 individuals over the past 8 years and believe they would disagree with your statement.

Either you have us confused with another organization or you are maliciously taking advantage of your Internet anonymity in an attempt to slander our organization.
