This Company had called my wife mary last october and offered her a visa credit card with a $1,500 limit. Said they needed a $200 deposit and they convinced my wife to give them our checking account number. They said they would take out $100 that month and wait another month to take out the other $100 and then within 30 days she would recieve her new credit card.

I thought this was a bit strange and after all this we had no way of contacting them to stop them from deducting from our acct. So, we waited and waited....

It took them a month to get the first $100, hecks, we actually had forgotten all about them... when they took the money it left us overdrawn and so we went to the bank to find out why. Our crappy bank refused to help us other than to give us an 800 number and told us to call them direct and settle with them.

Well, we called and called and it took us a week to finally get someone and they got out thier little recorders and played back my wife talking on the phone and refused to refund or cancel anything... they said they would be taking out the other $100 in the next few days and guess what? It took them almost another month and then it was only $33.00 and not the $100.00. So we kept trying to call them again and ended up having the bank stop pmt and dispute the charge. Anyways, they kept tryoing to get $33.00 out of our acct and we ended up closing the acct.

Today, I FINALLY got something in the mail from them. Nothing more than a bill telling me they are going to deduct $33.00 again. Well, they can try all they want now because the account is history. I am now afraid they might try putting a bunch of lies on my credit reports.

Today, I also filed a report with the FTC (online) I dont know what good it will do, but is there something else I can do? I have found out pretty fast that calling them does not help.

After I have surfed around this site I have learned alot. I have filed complaints with the FTC and Now the BBB in Florida. I came across a page that others may be interested in. I had at first thought this company had screwed me out of $100 and had been trying to steal $33.00 out of my checking acct.

After looking at this page and then going back and looking at some of my banking records I have found that they have indeed actually stole $200.00 from me. They got the first $100 in Oct 2002 and then for some crazy reason they didnt get the other $100 until Jan 2003.

Now I understand why they keep trying to steal $33 from my checking acct. Im still waiting for the Visa to show up in my mail.
