I have not technically been ripped off as of yet other than in lost time and lost productivity to my Company.

Almost on a daily basis this jerkoff company calls me to buy their credit card. I have told them numerous times to put me on their do not call list. Finally, on 8/23/02 I had enough and threatened lawsuit if they called again. The saleswimp on that call got quite pissy and told me to do whatever I want and hung up with a loud bang. I thought it was over after that.

Today, 8/27/02, I got another call. I requested their return phone number and address. When asked why, I informed them it would be turned over to my lawyer as I indicated in the last phone call. I also informed them that they had already been told to put my number (my work number nonetheless) on their do not call list on six prior occassions. This time the lady said it was just her first day. Oh boohoo. She escalated to a supervisor. First thing out of his mouth, "do you even know who we are?" I said, "duh, NACS. I want your phone number and address and for my number to be put on your do not call list." As soon as I said NACS he gasped. He must have thought he was going to bully me around. He then proceeded with some BS about me having applied for the card myself.

First off, I haven't ever applied for this card. Secondly, I don't use my work number in applying for anything. Then the so-called supervisor said that they only call after receiving information from credit grantors because I had been denied credit. Sorry but not in the last month when all of this has been happening. Furthermore I have the credit reporting agencies blocking promotional credit inquiries, as well as call me anytime an inquiry is made into my credit. No activity for the last month when all of these calls have come through.

Onto the next lie, we have several databases where consumer phone numbers are stored and from which consumers are auto-dialed. I said that was BS too because by law I only have to request one time for my number to be put on a do not call list. That covers the multiplicity of databases without question for each corporation. It also covers the other BS lies that he tried to feed me. When he saw (this guys name was Darryl), he wasn't getting anywhere and that I wanted the phone number and address for my lawyer he said he would transfer me to Customer Service. Now what a line of BS that was. You're telling me that a supervisor cannot give that information? The customer service that he transfered me to was a dial tone.

IN short, when you trap them in the corner they like to hang up after they have exhausted their lies.
