I ordered magazines from Atlantic Magazine Services in December 2003. By February 2004, I paid in full with them and started receiving magazines. Good deal! But recently, in June, I've received a call from Nadine Magazine Services, and they've asked about my payments and status of my account. I was confused. Who da hell is Nadine Media USA? I've asked them, and they said that in March, 2004, I placed an order for magazine services and that I have been paying for it since then 'til June... That was a bull... Why? Because nobody called me in

March about magazines, I didn't order another service. I'm not dumb, you know. And my bank account has never been billed or I have never received any bills. So where did they take money for my services? I don't know, but somehow, someone was paying for my service. It would be nice to have a free service when someone paying for it, but not for me. I wanted to cancel it, but they said - I can't since the order is already processed in March, 2004.

Thinking logically, I should be receiving two copies of the same magazine: for example: one issue from Atlantic Magazine Service, and another from Nacine Media USA. But check my mailbox, ask my mailman - there has not been any second copy of any magazine. I've been receiving a single copy from Atlantic Magazine Service. So where did they send those magazines - I don't know. But somehow Nacine Media USA knew all information about me, including my Bank Card number and SSN. I also asked them, back in June, to send me a copy of the tape from March, when I was placing my order, but they've never sent any.

It is July now, more than a month passed, and I didn't receive any tape or proof that I've placed an order. However, I've just received a letter from Nacine Media USA, claiming that they can't delete my account, due to it's activity. Please, HELP ME. When they called in June, I've been fool enough to give them updated information and my Bank card number, although I told them to send me a bill, so I could look at it. But they never did; next day they've charged my account and it caused a fraud. I couldn't shop for two weeks because of that.

I canceled my Bank card though, and today I have a new one, but they keep forcing me to send them payments.
Now, I have all bank statements about my account activity. If they charged me in March, April and May, then it should be written on my statement from my bank (US Bank). But there is no single charge on my account, except for that in June that caused a fraud on my account.

I want to sue them for $100,000 to cover all my lawyer expenses and frustration they've caused. It's not about money, they've called me. Hell, let it be less than $100,000 - let it be enough to cover lawyer expenses and the rest go to charity - I don't care. I want to bring them down. I've read other victims' reports. We have to take action now, otherwise they just rob people and get away.

I will call US Attorney office in NY. Funny, Nadine Media USA is located in NY too. I'm angry and pissed off. Help me please or use this letter to build a case against them.

God bless you!
Thanks!

Nadine Meida USA robbed me: Full Story

#4Author of original report

Thu, July 29, 2004

In the beginning of June, 2004, I've received a call from Nadine Media USA which stunned and confused me: They were checking on my account status and billing information. Nadine Media USA said that I've placed an order for your services to receive magazines in March, 2004.

In December, 2004 I've ordered a service from the Readers Service, CA. I've subscribed for: Men's Health, Muscle and Fitness, Popular Science, Wired, Blender, PC World, PC Gaming World. I decided to pay it all with three payments, and by February, 2004 I completely paid off the service for the next 5 years. I used my old bank card to pay for it let's call this card X2 card. So now, in June, Nadine Media USA called and said that I've ordered magazines from them in March. They said that I've ordered Men's Health, Muscle and Fitness, Popular Science, Wired, Blender, PC World, PC Gaming World the same list that was with Readers Services. However, in June, Nadine Media USA told me that they no longer carry Men's Health and PC World, and offered me some other magazines instead. Do you think I'm dumb? Sorry, I make mistakes as a human, but not that dumb mistakes. According to Nadine, I've ordered again the same magazines and paid for them? Wow.

By this June, 2004 when they called I had a different bank card, because I lost my old (X2) card at the end of January. Let's call new card as XX. I notified Reader's Service about that loss and resolved the issue ahead, so I didn't have any problems with paying. So back in December, I gave to Reader Service the number of my X2 card, I lost it in January, and by June when Nadine Media USA called I had an XX card. Are we clear?

So now in June Nadine claimed that I've ordered a service from them in March, 2004. I said how come? And they gave me my SSN and my X2 card number the one I've lost in January. Excuse me, do you follow the logic here? How could I place and order with a card that I lost 2 months ago? I don't know. Reader's Service has been notified, my bank knew that, I knew that, and Nadine Media USA didn't. There is their first loss.

Now, Nadine called me 3 times claiming that they HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED three payments starting from March, through April and May. And now they wanted to get a payment in June. So why should they call? Nadine could just keep charging the account and be rich. But they called and claimed that they've received three payments of $49.95. Ok, let's go through all transactions on my account starting from March 2004, or even December 2003.

Amazingly, I showed my transactions to my banker, to the chief of Rochester Police Department and to the lawyer and no one was able to find any identification or any transaction on my account related to Nadine Media USA company or any charge of $49.95. There is no single charge since December 2003 through May 2004. Can you explain that? I don't know who they were charging for these three months March, April and May, - but Nadine totally screwed up and I can confront them with witnesses from legal departments. This is their second loss insufficient data.

However, Nadine has been threatening me that they were going to report me to the collection agency and that I can't cancel my order (which is not my as it turned out). They swore that they had on tape a recording of the order that I've placed in March, 2004. So you called three times threatening me with collection agency, the proof on tape and the availability of my personal information. So eventually, I gave them my bank card number, the new one (XX) only on two conditions, that they're going to send me a copy of the tape with the recording of me placing an order in March, and that Nadine won't charge my card, but send the bill. They said that they needed the card number just for verification purposes. Well, guess what?

Nadine didn't send me any tape ever since, although they said it's going to take up to 10 days. Yeah, 10 days, not 10 years. Furthermore, they didn't send any bills they charged my account. This unexpected charge caused an overdraft on my account and I've received a Negative fee charge. I couldn't shop for two weeks, borrowing money for food and covering the debt caused by Nadine's illegal actions. And I have a proof for that too. They caused a financial damage to me. Because of that, I cancelled my XX card, the new one, and ordered another card from my bank. Let's call it JO card.

By June 14th, I've received a letter, after those three calls, where Nadine Media USA thanked me for placing my order. What? And on the back of it, I could sign it and sent it back to you to cancel my order. I did that, and in return, I've received a letter stating: The Company has incurred considerable costs in activating this account. This is now a processed order and is not subject to cancellation.

When you entered into the agreement, extra care was taken to make sure that you were adequately informed about the terms and conditions of the service particularly with regards to our cancellation policy. You accepted this service predicated on those provisions This letter makes no sense which agreement? What conditions?

I proved already in this statement that they have already made 2 losses my bank card number, and my bank transaction data. There is a third loss a person wouldn't order the same magazines twice and willingly pay for them. So it's 3:0 I win. But there is more. Nadine didn't send any tape this makes it 4:0. They caused a fraud on my account without my approval and fooling me, which is already a motivated illegal financial damage. This makes it 5:0 where I win. Moreover, I have witnesses and copies of all papers that Nadine has send to me, all bank transactions. I work with Rochester Police Department, and FBI, and US Attorney office.

All conversations on the phone were very strange when Nadine called me. See, when they were asking me questions, I could hear that they were pushing buttons on and off to start recording. When I was about to say yes they would press it, and as soon as I started to ask hey, what's going on they would press it again. Well, guess what? Nadine called me 2 times on one day, and the third time the next day.

We scheduled approximate time for that call. But by that day I was ready I had a recorder set up, a police officer, who is my friend, my family and my friends at home to prove you wrong. And using a speakerphone all witnessed the button pushing and threatening and accusing me of ordering a service. Gocha! That makes it 6:0 where I win.
