I called Nail Tech ahead and asked specifically if they did gel nails. The tech said yes but it was more expensive. I went in sat down, as the tech began the process I noticed that it did not appear that he was using the "gel technique" and supplies that I had in the past at other salons.

I asked him point blank, "are you sure this is gel, you are not lying to me are you?" He said, "no, I promise these are gel". He proceeded while I thought in my head, "maybe there is a new process that involves the powder that is generally used with acrylic" but as the process went on I realized it was the exact same stuff that all the other techs were using (acrylic). I asked him again if he was using gel and he got annoyed with me and said "YES!" So, I let him finish being a little unsure if I had a leg to stand on by accusing him of lying.

When it was time to pay he charged me almost double the price of Acrylic nails according to the sign that said, "uv gel nails -35 dollars" (acrylics were 20 dollars)!

I went home in a fury and got on-line and researched, called about 15 nail salons and they all said the same thing, " You got scammed!, Gel nails have to be cured with a UV light"

I am so angry when I called them back today the Tech said, " I gave you gel powder nails" What is that? It is false advertisement and they are ripping people off.
