Complaint Review: Nancy Elizabeth Shushok

Nancy Shushok contacted me after I posted on Roomster about a sublet, offering an apartment near Times Square.  I responded to her ad and she agreed to rent to me, sending me pictures of herself and a copy of her driver's license to prove she was legitimate.

I also looked her up on the internet, she had an established presence, with comments on sites, a Facebook page, a linked in, which I verified were her.  I was preparing to make payment but she said that she was actually out of the state and that she left the keys at a "UPS Drop Box" and that she could have it sent to me.

I was a little suspicious, so insisted on paying by Bank Transfer so it was trackable.  She gave me bank information that turned out to be bogus, then demanded a wire transfer.  I began to get suspicious, and used Google to reverse image search the apartment images she sent, finding that they were apartments in Texas.  Luckily I did not send her any money, and hope that you do not either.
