He gave complete bad legal advice! This attorney doesn't know what on earth he is talking about in my opinion-he is a total scam artist. Took my retainer and did not do ANYTHING for me. He doesn't return calls or messages once you pay him his initial retainer. DO NOT USE THIS ATTORNEY!!

My name is Nathan Herron and it is my name being dragged through the mud on this site.  I believe I know who wrote this complaint against me and vilified my character.  It is interesting that anyone can write anything they want in attempts to ruin someone's career and positive reputation, but are too cowardly to even use their own name.  That is the epitome of shameful, deplorable tactics and these are the last bastion of those who fail to take responsibility for their own actions.  "Point the finger out, not in," is the motto.

As it stands, this woman provided a $300.00 retainer to file a Chapter 13 bankruptcy.  Anyone in the know would understand that I was trying to do a favor for this person and the attorney that referred me by asking only $300.00, nearly $200.00 of which was for her filing fee.  I also actually went to her house and met with her and her husband.  How many attorneys do you know would go to such lengths for a $100.00 retainer?  Once retained, I requested information from this client that was not forthcoming, yet she called me a minimum of 6 times a day.  So when she says I did not return calls, she may be correct that I did not return every call she made.  When it became clear that her expectations were well beyond what I could reasonably provide, I returned every penny of the $300.00 retainer, billed her absolutely nothing for all of my expenses, time and energy in trying to help her out of her self-created desperate economic situation.

For all of my efforts, then, I get this: A scathing public castigation of my person, character and professional abilities.  Sometimes people just cannot be helped.  I am now and have always been a professional of the utmost ethics and morals. A complaint was filed with the Utah Bar by this person and found to have no merit.  Because she was stifled, I believe she felt the need to be heard and lashed out here because, in this forum, nobody scrutinizes or bothers with little things called facts.  In truth, I just feel bad for this woman because she has issues that go well beyond her economic problems and I hope she gets the real help she needs.  God bless.

Nate Herron is a standup person and has always demonstrated the utmost in professionalism.  He's an amazing attorney and is very reliable as a person as a whole. He has taught me many things I need to know. What people need to understand is that bankrupcy or any other legal matter in the world takes time to resolve. It is not overnight.  Attorneys are often busy handling other clients and this person admits he was in touch.  It is dubious that they blame him for signing a contract that allows him to keep the initial retainer. Noone forces anyone's hand in this.  You can often negotiate away if you so desire. Unfortunately it is not his fault people don't read contracts. It is the individual's responsability to know those things.  You have yourself to blame for signing something you don't agree to.  If you may have been patient enough to let the due process of the law go forth, you would have gotten what you wanted. Bankrupcy is not snap of a finger.  Judges have to review it and agree to it, can take a good while.  Perhaps you should not wait until last minute to demand this life altering process go faster than possible.  Again, the man is an amazing person and a great attorney.  Everyone loves his work!!!  He was very very helpful to me and his counsel has changed my life forever in a positive way.  Hats off to him.
