Opened up an account with Move On Time that contracted my stuff out to Nationwide Moving Services. Also where I recieved a fax from Move On Time for 700.00 I paid 300 initally up front.

1/06/2003
The moving company picked my stuff up from storage around 11 o'clock where they were suppose to be in the process of moving my stuff down to San Francisco.

1/08/2003

I contacted the moving company around 8 to ask what the expected time frame my stuff would be delivered they said that Saturday afternoon. As you can guess nothing arrived.

1/13/2003
I contacted the moving company once again asking where is my stuff. They responded that it hasn't even left there storage unit. They said it should be on the road on Wednesday and should arrive that week as you can figure nothing that weekend. They said there was Ice on the Seattle roads and they couldn't make it down which I knew was a lie since I have many collegues and friends that still live there.

1/21/03
approx 3:00am: message on Shannons work voicemail claiming they were in SF ready to deliver

approx 8:00am: Shannon called the moving company, they were claimed to be in Reno but could turn around and deliver between 3pm and 4pm

approx 5:30pm: Shannon called the movers again when they did not show up. They said they were in San Jose and could deliver in 1hour and 30 minutes

approx 8:30pm: Shannon called the movers, they were in Santa Clara, and on their way to SF

10:00pm: The movers finally arrived but wanted $530 instead of the remaining $400 that our invoice shoed we owed. We only had $400 in cash, and they would not accept a check for the remaining $130. The police were called. Jude and his partner packed up with our things and drove away.

Budget truck number 791438, Oaklahoma license INJ-844. The police arrived, we explained the situation, refer to CAD # 030-213-384 with the SFPD. Jacquelyn called Joe at the toll-free number and attempted to calmly explain and negotiate the situation. Joe literally yelled at Jacquelyn, accused her of playing games, demanded more money in cash, said see you in 21 days and hung up the phone. Jacquelyn called back, left a voice mail about the incident. She called back a few minutes later politely requesting a faxed contract/breakdown of what was owed. No response

1/22/03 approx 8:45am: Jacquelyn called the office again and spoke with Kristin regarding the incident. She claimed the movers were 6-7 hours away from SF with our stuff, and that we had to Western Union $530 plus $250 redelivery fee to them by noon and the would turn around to deliver our things.

Discussion went on back on forth throughout the afternoon. At about 12noon, they claimed that the movers had our things in the truck, did not know when they would be back in Seattle, but that our things could be redelivered in 14-21 business days, with a $500 redelivery charge.

Approx 1:30pm: The called Jacquelyn at work, and gave 30 minutes to wire the money for delivery this week.

Approx 2:00pm: They called her again at work and said that if they had to wait 30 more minutes, we would be charged $50 for every 30 minutes that the guys had to sit around with nothing to do which lead me to believe they were back in Seattle with our things.

Approx 3:55pm: Jacquelyn called the office and asked Kristen to fax over what we owe, and why we owe it. She faxed a very vague statement saying that as soon as we pay $1030 they will deliver our things.
