Randy Strong called our business and said he was with National Access the company that handles AT&T long distance and it showed that we had not used as much long distance in the past year, as previous years.  AT&T was trying to keep their land line customers and so they would cut charges on all of our lines by $10 and we would pay 5 cents a minute instead of 7 cents.  I asked him who he was with and he stated that again he was with National Access, and I could look on my AT&T Bill and they would be listed.  I knew we payed a flat rate for a block of long distance minutes, so I thought something did not seem right.  I asked him if he could send me the information about these new rates, and he said of course, and then asked me for our fax number.  Needless to say, we never received a fax from Mr. Strong.  He was very convincing, but was truly a professionally scammer, never actually saying he was not with AT&T.
