National Action Financial Services, Pinnacle Credit Services, HRSI Bottom Feeders, grasping at little bits of info, no proof or details offered... Williamsville, New York
NAFS calls every day demanding payment. I went through the same scenario three years ago with Merchants Credit Guide. Both collection agencies referenced Pinnacle Credit Services and HRSI as the current and original creditors, respectively, of an installment loan that was taken in 2001.
In contacting the original creditor (HRSI) three years ago, one of their managers stated their records indicated the loan had been paid in full, with no negative reporting, and gave a specific date. I recently viewed the same positive information on my credit bureau report, and also found an inquiry from NAFS, which indicates they must have viewed the same positive information. So why are they calling me?
Merchants finally stopped calling after I sent them a letter to cease and desist, but our household suffered many weeks of harassment and threats. Now, three years later, the same routine with a different unscrupulous debt collector (NAFS) has begun again.
In addition to this report, I have filed a complaint with the U.S. Attorney General's Office by way of the Federal Trade Commission, and with the Better Business Bureau in New York.
At this point, I want more than the calls to stop -- I want to know "how" and "why" my info was put in the hands of these awful people. This process has consumed so much of my time, causing much stress and frustration in our housefold. It is unfair to have to deal with these rude people each day. PLEASE - won't someone please help put a stop to this nightmare!
