My wife and I were looking for Health Insurance and filled out some online quote request. One company that called us back was an Insurance provider that goes by the name of NABL - National Association of Business Leaders. The brokers name was Karla Richards.  She provided us with a quote and coverage that was just "too good to be true".  She was very eger to collect the 1st month premium and a processing fee of $125.00, so we asked them to send us a broucher - They said they don't do advertising or mailings cause it's not cost effective, and helps keep their rates low. I asked for an email - to confirm the coverage offer, they said there was a severe snow storm and their email was down. And fianlly I asked for a fax - they agreed, and their letterhead was very cheap looking and almost home made.

Already thinking this was a scam, I went a step further, because no other providers were able to offer such coverage I went on our home state insurance website to find out which providers were licensed for coverage in the state.  Of course, none of the companies the broker mentioned as an umbrella company were available in our state.  In her speech she mentioned AARP, Travelers, and Phoenix.

After I got the fax, I tried to google the company, but got not hits, so I googled the phone number and that's when the negative feedback came up.  I found some reports on Ripoff Report.com and some other AKA's came up, including Real Benefits Association, as well as a website which was under a different name "Accesshealthnow.com".  When I Googled Real Benefits Association I also found a few Class Action Cease and Desist orders against them.  Makes me wonder why the broker didn't offer me the website.
