National Association of Preferred Providers aka Family Care mistreated and ripped off Houston Texas
Purchased health insurance on-line from this outfit. Made arrangements to have the monthly premium paid through my debit card. Understood that the premium amount of 49.95 would be deducted once a month....SURPRISE!! The third week of September they withdrew that month's premium and then on October 4th they withdrew 99.90 (two months worth)!!
Beware. They have no set date to withdraw their premium(s) and they will charge twice, maybe more, than what you budget for that month.
Like most folks, I live from paycheck to paycheck, and having about 150 bucks deducted from my checking account, without prior notice, within a two week time frame for three months of premiums is a flagrant rip-off...and that is an understatment.
If you are a policyholder, don't attempt to contact this company via telephone unless you are willing to spend from 15 minutes to an hour on hold.

Family Care is no longer assoiated with the National Association of Preferred Providers. This was a Network they were using that had old info posted.
Also Their billing company only drafts on the date the consumer chooses. You can cancel anytime and they are using brand new networks. I know this as I am also a member using this product.
