Complaint Review: National Audit Defense Network - NADN

Our initial contact, in April 2002, was to get help with an "Offer in Compromise" to be filed with IRS. The response was "no problem" we can help, send in $800+ dollars. We did.

The next step was talking to a counselor who requested and received all of our tax information and income information. After a few days of review he said he could save us approximately $25,000 dollars - but it cost an additional $3,000 for the service. Desperate for help, we gave them the money.

We were then transferred to various counselors, who were extremely difficult to contact. By August, after repeated phone calls by us for them to get the Offer in to the IRS, we were told that they could not help us, and we could not receive all of our money back, even though it was they who said that our information was sufficient to get a tax break to begin with. After much arguing, we have sent numerous letters, by fax and certified mail, made additional phone calls and have not heard back from them or received our money.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I HAVE JUST DISCOVERED THE FTC HAS FILED A LAWSUIT AGAINST THEM. THESE PEOPLE ARE OUT TO STEAL OUR MONEY!
