I attempted to make a simple $400.00 claim against "free engines for life warranty" that was given to me by my Cadillac dealer when I purchased my Certified Used Vehicle.  The claim was denied because of a missed tire rotation.  The "free engines for life" warranty, which is backed by National Auto Care, Westerville, Ohio, requires the vehicle owner to have all oil changes and tire rotations performed by the dealer.  Every oil change and tire rotation was performed by said dealer (Robert Basil Cadillac, Orchard Park, NY) ever since the day the vehicle was purchased.  Because the dealer failed to rotate the tires on one occasion, National Auto Care denied the claim for the engine repair.  What does a tire rotation have to do with the operation of the engine?   

I was very excited when I learned the used vehicle came with a lifetime warranty on the engine.  I should have known better.  When it seems too good to be true, it is probably a scam.  Not only did the dealer lose a loyal customer from both the sales and service perspectives, whenever I hear about some amazing warrany backed by National Auto Care, I will be sure to run the other way.

Mr. Joe Ross, Director of Claims, National Auto Care, you posted a note asking me to call you.  You said you may be able to help.  I called you on January 15th.  You have not called me back.  Apparently, the only "CARE" in National Auto Care, is "I Don't Care"!
