I paid 137.00 to National Auto Warranty from April 2007 to June 2008 for auto coverage on my Ford Truck. When I needed my auto repair in May, 2008, I was told by a National Auto Warranty representative that their funds were frozen and that they could not honor my claim.

I was very dissappointed and upset that no one called me from the company to informed of the problem instead they continued to take my money every month and I had no coverage.

When I tried to cancelled my coverage they made many excuses and put me on hold.

I called Mepco Finance Co. to cancel and now they are trying to hold me responsible for the balance.

This is a Ripped Off !!! But I will continue to try to get my money back.

Possible Suggestions

There are a few possible suggestions that I can give you. First, there was a warranty company that placed their funds on hold because they were going under and their backer failed. This shouldn't have detered you from getting funds back. Try your best to call customer service at NAWS and get the phone number that they have for the warranty company. It will take time for the funds to go back. I also suggest that you call your cc company or your bank and claim fraud. Also contact the the Mo state attorney general, jay nixon. If it is the warranty company that went under, then NAWS is having a hard time getting their money therefore they can't refund until the policy is paid to NAWS by the warranty company. But NAWS should give you all the tools to make sure you will receive your money back. You can contact the customer service manager, Laci or the adminstration manager, Michelle.

You should contact the Atty General in Missouri, he would love to hear from you.

Just let them know all the details of what they have done to you.

They have been after this particular company for a while, the more complaints, the better the chances to make something happen.
