I too fell for the "work from home" hoax from National Capital Funding and like others I felt I was getting into trouble right after I hung up the phone. I did a search, found this site, and lo and behold here was the info I needed.

I immediately called my bank and paid $15.00 to stop payment on my check. When I received the package from Natl. Cap. I wrote on it "return to sender" and gave it to my mailman. Here's where the double whammy comes in. Yesterday I received a letter from a collection agency demanding $114.00 that I now owe for the material that was sent to me.

I'm kicking myself for not registering the return of the packet. Not that I'm going to pay these people one thin dime but now its going to also affect my credit. My bank said that the only way to fully protect my bank account is that I will have to close this account and open another one because they now have my account and routing numbers and can come in at any time and try to get more money.

Please people, be carefull with any online offer.....unfortunately there are probably some good companies out there that will miss out on signing up good people to work for them.
