I've seen this commercial and nowhere do they say that this coin is "MADE OF GOLD AND WORTH A LOT". They clearly states that it is plated with 31 milligrams of gold.

Why would you think that someone would sell an actual gold coin on TV for 19.95?  Common sense would tell you that it would not be possible.

Real gold buffalos look like this, are made of 31 GRAMS of gold and sell for around $1240 (at todays spot price).

Each coin contains 31 milligrams of pure gold (24k).

So, let's see... As of 1/15/2010 at 2:30PM New York Time

Gold was $36.29 per gram.

$36.29 x .0031 = .1125 CENTS worth of gold.

I'm not sure what you were thinking when you ordered, but the ad _never_
says it was 'Made of Gold and worth a lot'.

We're you expecting to get a US minted coin made out of pure gold for
twenty bucks?

"during these difficult financial times, I CAN'T AFFORD TO BE RIPPED OFF". IF you can't afford to be ripped off, AND DON'T HAVE A JOB, WHY are you buying crap advertized on TV? I agree these coins ARE a rip off BUT, IF you paid attention to their sales pitch, they go on about how they are LAYERED in G-E-N-U-I-N-E 24karat gold, which is the same thing AS BEING DIPPED or plated. They pitch them to look like and sound like the US 1 oz. gold buffalo which is around $1200 or more. So what you bought is worth MAYBE a $1 or $2 AT MOST. Those peddlers came into my shop the other day selling SNUGGIES, those blankets with arms.. One for $5 or 3 or $10. Lately, I've seen ALL that crap advertized on TV at either walmart or dollar general. You asked for some help. Here's some. DON'T buy any crap off the TV.
