I ordered Sacagawea coins from the company, agreeing to only pay S & H. I also agreed to periodically review silver dollars for a ten day period and could cancel at any time. I did not agree to make any payments for this. Almost immediadely after receiving the Sacagawea coins, I received a silver dollar. My credit card was billed for the coin and a "Silver Surcharge". I wrote cancel and sent it back (at my expense). About two days after that, the exact same thing happened. I have since received two more coins and my credit card is still being charged and I will have to pay to have these sent back also. The also use sub-names of The Royalton Collection, The American Historic Society, American Family, and NCM Fullment Center. Norman Wichita, Kansas
U.S.A. If the charge was to your credit card (not debit card, check card, or checking account), contact the credit card company as soon as possible to request a dispute form. Consumers usually have a little longer to dispute fraudulent credit card charges (up to 6 months), but it is better to act right away. In this type of situation, credit card disputes are usually successful since fraudulent companies often won't contest the disputed charge. In rare cases, credit card companies will review disputes, but refuse to reverse the charges. If this occurs, complain to a manager and let them know you will be filing a report here. Remember Don't let them get away with it! Make sure they make the Rip-off Report .. The more Reports filed on a Company or individual, the more likely it is that the authorities, media and attorneys will want to take action. And good luck Let us know how you do!

As with other reports I have read, National Consumer Marketing (A.K.A.) American Historical Society, makes offers to good to be true. However, I thought perhaps that they're approach might have been to take an initially small loss to engender 'goodwill' for the opportunity to make future profits. It's now obvious that the concepts of goodwill and integrity is blatantly absent from their business model.

After I charged the shipping/handling fees for my "Free" Silver Dollar via their toll-free number, I waited for the item to arrive. Before I received a single thing in the mail, I got a call from my credit card's fraud prevention department.

The representative calling indicated that they had identified possible suspicious activity with my account recently. She continued by detailing that two to three charges per day for the past four days by the same merchant had been placed on my card (NCM).

Averaging anywhere from $8.00 $21.00 per charge, the four-day total added up to over $160.00!!! Naturally, I was shocked and requested that we immediately begin a formal payment denial against National Consumer Marketing. She requested that I fax a written statement of non-authorization for these charges. After complying with the request, she also suggested cancelling my current account and issuing a new card.

Thankfully, someone was very competent and observant at going about their work at my credit card issuer. Had this not occured, who knows how much would have been charged and how much more difficult it would have been to resolve.

To reiterate, Nothing is Free - and once again proves the adage "If it sounds too good to be true, it most likely isn't".
