we are writing this report because my wife and i were misled when we were trying to get health insurance. on line we found a vitalone health filled out an option page and we were contacted in minutes. we were helped out by someone named Leah and she told us that everything we would need (our health insurance plan) would be coming in an email and than followed by us postal mail.

her quote sounded ok and the coverage that we were told was fine. i am disabled and my only income is disability . she told us our monthly payment would be 776.00 a month but our start up would be 896.00. this amount was taken in the middle of jan. and coverage would start  1st of feb. Leah told us that everything was fine. she gave me a id # we were covered and nothing to worry about.

i am 57 disabled and cannot walk .i am on diabetes meds as well as pain meds we don't have alot of money after we pay our copay for pharmacy. we have paid into this or these companies $2,448.00 we are still waiting for medical cards everytime we call any of these numbers which are NCE 18772588594  18888861796    Vitalone health  18664885200  18774262559

Optum health  18006485174   after you call these numbers you get put on hold shuffled around and most times the voice mail tells you leave your name number we will get back to you in 24 to 48 hrs. and if you are lucky and do get someone they tell you that they will put in a request to have the medical cards sent out. well we have been waiting since feb. 1st the day we started and we still do not have medical cards .

we have gone to the doctors for my legs and checking in at the front desk they ask for our insurance info we gave them what we had, it was what we had taken off the email. the doctors office looked at this piece of paper and was wondering what it was. the office was  trying to find what insurance we had, they could not find anything.  my wife went to pick up my meds from the pharmacy and they handed her the bill it was $450.00 what we normally paid was about $60.00. ofcourse we called and called and called and finally after days got through ask for Leah come to find out Leah was no longer there. trying to get someone to help was not going to happen. no one could update us on any of our health insurance.

we want a refund of our money that we were frauded out of. they didn't give us health insurance they just took our money. the girl Leah who signed us up was now nowhere to be found.

this kind of misrepresentation should not  continue. when these companies are taking the handicap and disabled and elderly for there limited incomes its just not right.

please someone help
